not much to talk about since BRI promotion is over. =/ but there was a special stage greeting...new VITZ CM....and A RARE NAKATSU SCENE YOU HAVE TO WATCH!! ^_^

hi everyone! ~_~

so...not much has happened in May.

but i still took so long to get this post up.

sorry! it's already june 7 today. =T

hmm...let's get me-related stuff over with first. xD

here are some things i posted about at my LJ,

some of which are toma-related...

(i found these pretty toma and gakky pics quick and the lighting is similar and their pics really match, but yamashita!! it's so hard to find a nice smiling pic of him and finally i just gave up and used this pic. lol.)

i finally finished my tomapi/togakky fanfic recently!!! it's been around 5 months since i started writing it and it made me kind of sad. =( but i'm so glad i finally finished it, and i can always continue it some other time. you can read the whole thing by going here:
http://kate-firefly.livejournal.com/tag/fanfic.

http://kate-firefly.livejournal.com/35393.html

wow!! old toma pic with a fan (on the HYD2 set back in 2007)!!

http://kate-firefly.livejournal.com/35195.html

random pics: forest, toma on Fineboys, takoyaki, clouds, rainbow!

and 4 the longest time, i didn't finish the 2 posts i linked to since my last post, but i finally finished and posted pics, so please take a look!! xD pink-chan and this kitty is so cute!! ^_^

http://kate-firefly.livejournal.com/33115.html

pink-chan is at mizza's university now!!

.......................... toma's messages ♥

(i'll just talk about some of the interesting things toma said in his jweb here, but remember if you want to read all his messages, go to http://tfgirls-team.livejournal.com to read them! ~_~)

toma went to watch a special kabuki performance that his friend (since high school) was in, and it lasted 8 hours long!! (thanks to himawariyusuke for translating vol. 490, from april 25.) also, toma said he's sorry he is too busy to reply to letters (his jweb subscribers, i think) because he's been reading a script.(april 28 entry) [NEW ROLE FOR TOMA??!! I HOPE IT'S A LEADING ROLE IN A SUMMER DRAMA!!!!!!!! *___*]

also, toma talked about celebrating bokura ga ita getting over 3 million viewers by taking part in a "butai aisatsu" (giving thanks). [this was the special stage greeting i read about at toma's page at the official johnnys website, it was on may 11. xD] he was nervous but really happy that so many people like this movie! and he said something about warmer weather making people happier and also said everyone, take care. [hehe.xD sometimes toma says such random things.] (from vol.492, may 12)

and toma went to Mr. Children's concert too! he was really hyper to be there, especially when the bokura ga ita themesong was played! xD you can read his whole message here, thanks to himawariyusuke for translating it! http://himawariyusuke.livejournal.com/26612.html

............................ top 10 8 toma things that happened during May (or start of June)♥

(credit: tomafanindia)

1~ toma, yuriko, (and i think the director of the movie) had a special stage greeting to celebrate the movie's success!! ^___^ i'm glad bokura ga ita did so well!! it must be toma's most successful movie ever!!! *___* congratulations, toma, yuriko, and everyone on the BRI team!! cuz hanamizuki did really well, but i don't remember him and gakky doing an "aisatsu" (special stage greeting to thank people for seeing the movie?), so probably they didn't reach 3 million viewers. oh, and i think it's nice that they count the number of people that go watch instead of how much money they made from the movie. it's a nice change from in the usa, where all you ever hear about is how much money a movie took in.

2~ there's a new toma VITZ CM!! =)

you can DL the new toma vitz CM here: http://mt-memo.livejournal.com/22430.html. or just watch the 15 second version here: http://untestsubject.tumblr.com/post/23174670723. remember you can also DL other recent (BRI promotional stuff) toma video clips at the mt-memo! =D

3~ Genji Monogatari and Bokura ga Ita soundtracks!

even if we can't watch the movies yet, it's nice to be able to listen to their music! you can get the ost's here, thanks to kavya! http://toma-room.livejournal.com/85662.html (actually, the genji movie is being released on DVD june 22, so maybe by the end of this month we can already watch it, if people rip the movie and sub it fast!! ~__~)

and you can listen to one of the tracks from bokura ga ita here:

http://myjhersey17.tumblr.com/post/24355719629/that-really-sad-moment-when-all-you-could-do-is

also, we have a new cool blue/summer layout at toma's room. check it out!! i really like it!! ~__~ and like usual, i made some toma-related polls there. vote on them if u haven't already! xD

4~ some of toma's older tv appearances have been subbed!

you can get Shabekuri 007 here: http://ikuta-toma.livejournal.com/741217.html.

and himitsu no arashi-chan here: http://ikuta-toma.livejournal.com/741722.html

5~ i shared this deleted nakatsu scene from hana kimi here long ago, but i thought i should share it again at toma's room too. v(^_^)v especially since nothing much going on in the toma fandom right now and it's nice to have a "new" video clip of toma! hehe. i'm really happy i can share it with a lot of people this time. so far, i've got 100 downloads for the 3 different quality versions i uploaded and so many people commented on the post!! a lot of people never knew about this extra scene!! get it here: http://toma-room.livejournal.com/87688.html

6~ Poll/ranking: Boys want to look like these boys… and girl
http://aramatheydidnt.livejournal.com/3802568.html

this is a poll asking men who they would want to look like if they could get plastic surgery. xD toma is 18th! also, yamashita is #2, Miura Shohei is #3 (the new nakatsu from last year's hana kimi remake), and sho is #5. such a random poll and the rankings don't make much sense. lol.

7~ a fan noticed that toma and yamashita were wearing the same jacket again. xD
http://arukidasuyo.tumblr.com/post/23397128071/toma-lend-you-his-jacket-xdddddd-lol-what-a-good
a while back, i think kavya noticed they were wearing the same blue suit jacket, and now this. hehe. i love how they still sometimes wear the same clothes. i guess they still do a lot of clothes shopping together! xD toma and pi are using clothes (and toma wore their friendship necklace a lot around last autumn!) to show their love for each other. xD

(random cute toma, yuriko pic from a few months ago...this is my screencap. ^^)
8~ RANDOM TOMA STUFF...

--i made some new toma gif icons! ^_^

http://toma-room.livejournal.com/86466.html

http://toma-room.livejournal.com/87170.html

--this is from 2007, but in case u haven't seen it. toma and the hana kimi cast all doing a cute exercise for a tv show!!! omg, look at how cute toma is!!!!!♥

(this is a french fansite! all kinds of toma stuff there...i think mostly magazine scans...)

https://www.facebook.com/IkutaTomaSan

the above sites's FB page. lots of toma pics.

this person posts a lot of interesting toma-related questions for fans. 1 question she might have got from 1 of the toma's room polls. lol.

..................... my 10 favorite toma pictures ♥

toma in barcelona, spain. i already edited it to get a closer view, but have to resize it here. click on it to see the full version! the resized version makes toma look a little weird! =T (credit: sumigomin, tomafanindia)

toma looks so adorable in these pics! :)

i really dunno when this cooking show was, but i saw another pic of toma in this outfit a few months ago, so maybe that was when it was. i wonder why no one has posted a link to watch this show?? or was it from last year? ehhh....but toma looks cute. still a lot of junma shippers out there. hehe. ~__~ (credit: tomapifriendship)

the only new toma pics this month was the black & white +act pics in spain!! =T so i made collages of his old ikita kotoba pics for winkup. also, i posted up these 2 kind of rare toma pics from 2010 at my tumblr:http://tomaroom.tumblr.com/post/24299934393/2-cool-kind-of-rare-toma-pics-from-2010-i. i know i've shared it here in the past, but not the HQ version.

i really miss his winkup column and pics! he has his own column in +act since around july of last year, right? but i've never seen any scans of it. i think mizza said that the chinese toma fan forum troom has it, but u have to be a special member to access it or something like that. sighhhhhh. i really should take a look at a random +ACT issue the next time i'm at the japanese bookstore and see what toma's column looks like!!! o___o

(credit for most of the pics: TFS, http://tomalicious-frm.livejournal.com/35011.html)

.............................. my favorite toma gifs from tumblr ♥

i hope some other people make gifs of this nakatsu scene and post them up at tumblr...^^

lol. i dunno why toma was so freaked out by the streamers?? but he's so cute ne~! i love girly toma!! :D

"i'm the ideal son!" and the ideal boyfriend!!!! :D

this is from the end of 2010 when he was promoting the kyuukei special drama, i think. kawaii~!

lolllll. well, toma has said that he tends to mess up during important moments, but i'm sure he doesn't have too many fail moments?? xD but it makes me think of when he said the wrong thing during the seaside motel stage greeting, though. instead of saying the movie is definitely interesting, he said it is definitely NOT interesting. xDDDD but he's always so cute when he messes up. ~___~

naoto-kun!!!!! i love his pout & smile!!♥ this must be in episode 1 of maou though, cuz i'm pretty sure toma didn't smile at all for the rest of the drama!! =(

toma and jin when they were little. hehe. still some toma/jin shippers out there. xD

toma's Another Sky ep.!! & other shows where...he has a long talk w/shun & masaki, is madly in love with a girl (4 a skit!), & plays games on VS ARASHI SP! ^_~

i just wanted to make sure i get the post date to be april, just in case i can't finish before may starts!! xD omg, blogger has a new look. i don't like it!! o_o after nearly 5 yrs of blogging....i'm so used to the old look!! why change it now? *sigh* wish i had screencapped the old dashboard. i guess i might have, but no idea where it is... but i guess it's good that blogger is trying to update its look and try to compete with all the other blogging sites. i hope blogger is still pretty popular and is never closed down or something!! x_x gah, i should not think about such things now, i'll have a nightmare! going 2 sleep. good nite~ ^-^
okie...that's all 4 now. oh, hopefully this means i can properly edit my posts and posting pics will be faster?? oy, these text colors are no good though! o__o i think i'll still do the whole post at LJ and then copy and paste here... =T oh, this is post #497!!! almost 500!!!!!
ok! it's may 1st, but the post is finally done!! yesssss!!! ^_^  enjoy....~_~

april is hanami time in japan! ~__~ if you are like me and can't go have a picnic beneath the pink cherry blossoms in japan, what's the next best thing? go hanami at nakamise street in pico!! lol... (pico.ameba.net. go here if u dunno what i'm talking about. xD) actually april is over and so is hanami time i guess, but i thought i should mention it. xD before i forget, ryuusei (toma's younger brother) got his own program, called "Ikuta-kun, Hi!" that started in april! he will interview various celebrities, and i hope eventually he'll interview toma! hahaha.

also, Bokura Ga Ita promoting time is over (except for maybe a few events left, like the special stage greeting in may). =( i’m going to miss all this BRI promoting and seeing toma on so many tv shows!! won't miss seeing toma and yuriko together so much, though! xD but it’ll be kind of a relief to not have so many toma stuff that i need to DL and watch (i still haven't watched so many of them! -___-). xD and of course toma needs to get some rest after this long campaign! he said around april 28, they’ll stop promoting the movie. after that he’ll probably take a break, but afterwards i hope he’ll have a drama or some kind of interesting new project!!!! ~__~

oh, we now have 540 MEMBERS AT TOMA'S ROOM!!! yeyyyy!!! ^o^ thank you, kavya, for noticing when it went past 500 and also for sharing toma video clips at the ikuta_toma community as well, which got us a lot of new members!! *hugssss* ~_~ well, recently i copied jamie's idea (her tokyo blog is jamieism.com. check it out! ^.^) of requiring a certain number of comments before posting something people want to see (in our case, it's the link to DL toma's video clips/other stuff). i'm so happy that because of this rule, we got a record 150 comments on kavya's post about toma's Another Sky program!! su~geh!!!! *___* ureshii neeeee.♥ and the recent posts have gotten over 70 and 90 comments!

and i'm still slowly updating my toma fic (use the 'fanfic' tag at my LJ to find it). whew...up to the 16th chapter now!! but it's nice to have my own little fantasy world with toma, gakky, and yamapi. xD and i found many pretty locations for them (that i will definitely go to 1 day!) and it's nice to create my own love story and come up with romantic stuff for them to do. ^_~

umm...what else. i'm really happy i got a bokura ga ita booklet from japan, thanks to jamie! and i also got to buy the MORE magazine with toma's super gorgeous pics and it also came with a cute blue floral bag! you can see pics of them and my pink-chan + other japanese food/cute things at mitsuwa or some toma-related stuff too, at my LJ!

.......................... toma's messages ♥

i'll just talk about some of the interesting things toma said in his jweb here, but remember if you want to read all his messages, go to http://tfgirls-team.livejournal.com to read them! ~_~

on april fool's day, toma played a joke on everyone, saying he auditioned for a new johnnys group, called "Sekushi Jon" (sounds like the new johnnys group Sexy Zone. xD). lol. he also said that 100,000 people have watched the bokura ga ita movie!!

yaparri, toma has mostly only been talking about bokura ga ita and thanking people for supporting the movie and asking everyone to go watch it. he even compared it to going hanami, cuz he said the movie is like a pretty flower. lol. toma and yuriko went to a girls school in hokkaido in march and he was like wow, girl power! xD the BRI team went to many places all over japan to promote the movie, ne.

toma was very embarrassed about being on a tv show (warrate it tomo, in march) with his brother. he said he never thought they would happen!! xD

http://himawariyusuke.livejournal.com/24100.html

and you should really read this translation of the toma's room vol. 482 entry. on march 11, the 1 year anniversary of the earthquake/tsunami/nucleur disaster, toma wrote a long entry about his memories and feelings of what happened last year. =,(

............................ top 10 toma things that happened during april (or march) ♥

(credit: criscris01)

1~ toma, shun and masaki appear on a tv show together and had a long talk! a mini ikemen paradise reunion!!! *__* you can DL the 1st and 2nd parts here: http://toma-room.livejournal.com/84598.html.

http://toma-room.livejournal.com/84869.html

(as always, video posts are members-locked!)

i think this will probably be subbed soon!

they talked about things like how toma didn't like shun at first because he was wearing weird clothes, toma took masaki's ring 1 time when they went drinking and he left it on the table or something, and toma's family was poor when he was young, but his parents still tried to buy them nice things. ~__~ thanks to jaehosupporter and raatkerani who summarized what they talked about!
the 2nd part has even more private talk, it seems!!

(btw, i hate shun after finding out he's a womanizer and cheated on his girlfriend (now his wife) many times in the past.arggghhh. -__- but i guess he is a good friend, just was a really bad boyfriend. i hope after getting married he'll change!)

(credit: tomafanindia, 4 the gif below too!)
toma spent like 80% of his time there eating curry, probably. hahahaha...

“umeeeee!!” toma really loved the california wine that tasted like apple juice. xD

2~ toma appeared on the travel show Another Sky, and the episode is about his trip to London!!!!! ALL TOMA FANS NEED TO WATCH THIS! TOMA IS SO CUTE in the show AND he got to meet the famous fashion designer paul smith, eat lots of yummy indian curry, and stood on the stage of a big empty theatre after watching a play. i wrote way too much about my thoughts after watching this, so i'll just share it at my LJ. i got some screencaps too. go here to read it!

http://kate-firefly.livejournal.com/33435.html

you can DL the episode at either of these links.

http://toma-room.livejournal.com/84049.html

http://mt-memo.livejournal.com/20665.html

also, TFGirls will sub this show! ^_^

(credit: tomafanindia)

3~ toma falls madly in love with a girl and keeps grabbing/kissing her even though she rejects him!!!!! LOL!!!!this short skit is just crazy funny!!! xD i've never seen toma act this way with a girl, and he was able to hold back and not laugh and break character most of the time, too! a lot of fans were saying that naomi is so lucky and they want toma to hug them like that. xD well, i want a tight hug or kiss from toma, but i certainly wouldn't want him to be so aggressive! hahaha. :D

you can DL it at either of these links:

http://toma-room.livejournal.com/83907.html

http://mt-memo.livejournal.com/20342.html

(credit: baboy-19. and my screencaps. btw, i really like the lovely beading detail on the collar of his vest!! *_*)

4~ toma as the +1 guest on the VS Arashi SP episode!!

toma was really happy to be there!! i think he had a lot of fun playing games with the arashi guys. ^_^ and it was so funny how everyone teased aiba cuz of his unlucky america scarf. poor aiba! i like your scarf!

you can DL it here:

http://toma-room.livejournal.com/81664.html.

(credit: toma143)

5~ Bokura Ga Ita news and things...

so this month, toma continued to promote BRI and made appearances on many different tv shows! his hard work has paid off, because according to the news below, Bokura ga ita has been doing very well at the box office!! it earned 26.97 million USD so far, and that's only the 1st part of the movie!!! yey!! congrats to toma and the whole BRI team!!!! *^-^* i think cuz of this, they are having a special stage greeting on May 11 to celebrate the movie's success!! go here for more info: http://tomaroom.tumblr.com/post/21985731766/from-tomas-page-at-johnnys-website-seems-like

(credit: tomafanindia)

and the "toma and yuriko seem like they are more than just friends??" moments continues. i don't know what to think sometimes. i mean, at this point, if there was suddenly news of them kissing at a bar or something, i think i wouldn't be surprised. i know before i was so sure they are not dating, but sometimes there just seems like there's something~ between them that he has not had with any previous actress he's worked with. hmm...let's just see if they are seen together at all after BRI promotion ends.

-----------------------------------------

http://www.tokyohive.com/2012/04/ikuta-toma-yoshitaka-yuriko-are-close-to-tears-at-the-stage-greeting-for-bokura-ga-ita-kouhen/ Ikuta Toma & Yoshitaka Yuriko brought close to tears at the stage greeting for “Bokura ga Ita Kouhen”

excerpt from the interview:

At the end of the stage greeting, director Miki Takahiro surprised the two actors by revealing his honest feelings by reading aloud a letter he wrote for the two of them.

He expressed his gratitude towards Ikuta and said, “He’s a very considerate person who always thinks of others before himself. Ikuta helped me many times.”

wow!! i didn't know it was common in japan for for directors to thank the actors like this before i read this news, but it's still so nice of him to do that!! i wonder how toma helped him out during filming?? maybe with suggestions on how yano should act in certain scenes or something? ~_~

-----------------------------

http://aramatheydidnt.livejournal.com/3645266.html

Toma Ikuta says girls avoided him during high school

excerpt from the interview:

“We were just a whole bunch of boys doing stupid things.

I wasn’t popular with girls, in fact, I think they stayed away from me."

ehhhhh? it's probably because they were intimidated because he was in JE? but he did look a little dorky back then, and he often wore glasses. xD but he looks so cool with sunglasses on!! ~_~ (go here to see pics of toma when he was in h.s. http://toma-room.livejournal.com/83511.html)

------------------------------------

you can watch the trailer for the 2nd part of the bokura ga ita movie here. no toma at all in it though! =T

oh, i forgot to scan and share the gorgeous toma pics from More all this time!! well, i do have the scans thanks to kavya, but since that person doesn't want it to be shared anywhere except weibo, probably a lot of ppl have not seen the HQ scans. my scanner is not that great though, so i dunno if it can do toma justice, but i'll try it! go to toma-room.livejournal.com to DL the scans (it will be members-locked)! anyway, here is a pic i took of my More magazine. ~_~
